Flooring Products and Services

  • Porcelain Tile

Porcelain, rectified porcelain and porcelain wood planks are very durable and low maintenance and a popular choice today.  Rectified porcelain offers a seamless grout look so that your floors appear like one large tile. It is available in matte and glossy and has many styles with an overall modern look.  No home owner likes grout lines. Grout lines, however, are important to keep tiles straight and prevent tiles from rubbing against each other. With Porcelain it is required to have a 1/16 to 1/8 inch gap between the tiles for expansion and contraction.  Porcelain tiles also have easy maintenance.

  • Marble Tile

Marble makes an elegant statement in any home.  It is highly durable but needs annual maintenance.  It has a very classy look and adds major value to hour home.  Marble is a nature-formed stone so the look is not uniform but will add Old World character and charm.  In dry interior areas it can be installed without grout lines.

  • Travertine Tile

Travertine, like marble, is a natural stone formed around mineral spring deposits.  It is very popular with a French pattern and commonly seen around modernized pool decks.  It also offers an Old World look in the interior space. It is available in tans, beiges, grays and speckled off-white hues.  On exterior travertine, there is a possibility of a weathering effect which gives the travertine an aged character similar to ancient architecture.  Being a natural stone makes travertine more resistant to damage and blemishes and can last centuries. You can prevent weathering with a periodic application of a stone sealing agent.  The frequency and amount of sealer depends on weather conditions and traffic.

  • Ceramic Tile

Glazed ceramic tiles are very durable, stain –proof and waterproof.  They are naturally resistant to high humidity conditions, making them perfect for bathrooms.  Unglazed ceramic tiles, such as the Mexican Saltillo tile, needs to be sealed periodically to protect their surface from liquids and stains.  Ceramic tiles are very difficult to crack but simple to replace. They are low maintenance.

  • Pool Decks, Coping and Pool Tile

The top three most popular installations include exterior porcelain, travertine and French pattern.  French pattern is a geometrical layout that involves five tile sizes. Once installed it appears flawless and easy on the eyes.  This pattern is used with travertine tiles. For pool coping, travertine is also popular. We ensure a slip-proof installation with the proper sealant and coagulant that leaves a grainy feeling, preventing slippage when walking barefoot.

  • Kitchen Backsplash

Kitchen backsplash tile does more than protect walls from spills and splatters.  Designers use this small space to surpass the ordinary into the extraordinary. There are endless options and a wide array of eye-catching materials like glass, wood, metals and stone that make backsplash the focal point of today’s kitchens.  The attention to detail of the backsplash can add to your kitchen’s final touch and add major value to your home.

  • Glass Tile

Glass tile is stylish and sleek and best used as a decorative accent or in backsplashes.  It can be very beautiful but expensive to install due to the wearing out of cutting blads during the installation, requiring multiple blades for the same job.  This means a higher cost per square foot of installation. Once installed, when properly cleaned, glass tiles can sparkle, adding allure and a modern look.

  • Laminate

Options include regular laminate, waterproof laminate, luxury vinyl flooring (LVP), or bamboo.  Laminate has a quick installation, giving you the wood floor look at a fraction of the price of porcelain wood plank or wood installation.  However, laminate damages easily with water and scratches easily. It is recommended for living areas and bedrooms but not kitchens or bathrooms.  Laminate is also not pet friendly.

  • Grout Cleaning and Resealing

It is necessary to clean tile grout professionally every five to ten years or more frequently with higher traffic.  The cleaning helps maintain the appearance, integrity of the installation and durability of the tile and grout. Like flossing, grout cleaning wll prevent decay and unnecessary damage to the subfloor.  Price ranges at $1.00-$1.25 per square foot.
